This feature allows her to reach areas unaccessable by other tall ships, travel coast to coast, or to distant locations without the wait for a 'proper weather window' to sail by. The process is not an easy one, but well planned and procedural. This is facilitated by shipyard travelift, or by prearranged mobile cranes.

In preparation for the 2006 ASTA Tall Ship Challenge on the Great Lakes, Royaliste will be loaded onto a trailer in early May and transported to Lake Erie.
